Sorting out China's main wind power policies in 2017

Accelerating the solution to the problem of wind abandonment and power limitation has been raised to an unprecedented height, and a series of measures have been implemented. At the same time, the national competent authority guided the industry to accelerate cost reduction and carried out the demonstration work of wind power parity on the Internet.
Among the wind power planning documents released in 2017, the guidance of the National Energy Administration on the implementation of the 13th five year plan for renewable energy development has aroused widespread concern in the industry. In order to achieve the sustainable, healthy and orderly development of renewable energy industry, the document proposes measures such as strengthening the guidance, monitoring and assessment of renewable energy objectives, innovating development modes, promoting technological progress and cost reduction, taking multiple measures to expand the source of subsidy funds, and announces the new construction scale of wind power in all provinces from 2017 to 2020 in the form of annexes. Among them, Henan and Hebei are the two provinces with the largest new scale, reaching 12 million KW and 11.39 million KW respectively. The country's cumulative installed capacity exceeded 110 million kilowatts, far higher than the goal set in the 13th five year plan.
